This spring we pedaled our tricycles, not just pushed along with our feet!

The Boys Who Stare at Goats

This week we ventured to the Children's Festival to see Acrobats perform and a short play about water. After the shows, Casey, Gavin, and Liam dashed over to the petting zoo to stare down the goats.

Fortunately, none of the goats suffered any injuries or harm after our sons stared them down.



This poor goat, however, fell down asleep after a short time in the boys' presence.

Backyard at the Fen

After naptime and before dinner, the cousins were able to play with one another. Brian taught Meghan how to throw a forehand with the frisbee, while Erin rode bikes along with Liam and Gavin. Casey and Laura chatted nonstop on their cellphones, occasionally finding the swings or slide.

Casey, Gavin, and Liam enjoyed the day at the Children's Museum of New Hampshire with their cousins Meghan, Erin, and Laura, Aunt Liz, and uncle Mike. We appreciated the fun exhibits this museum had to offer and loved the way it could be small yet offer so much. Erin and Meghan delivered the mail, inviting the boys to go along. Gavin and Casey explored the textiles and tried to weave their own cloth, and everyone got to help the fish swim upstream and pull up the sail on the boat along the river bank. Definitely a do-again!

Visiting Grandma Marcia

This December, Chrissy's mom Marcia suffered increased complications from her MS. After a short hospital stay, Marcia went to a nursing home to recuperate. After several weeks it became clear that her health had reached a plateau, yet not at a level high enough to function independently at home. For the long haul, Marcia will be at the nursing home where her physical needs can be met.

We were able to visit Marcia each day of our trip and enjoyed her company. Casey, Gavin, and Liam drew her pictures to decorate the walls of her room.

Birthday Presents with the Cousins

This spring we visited Chrissy's family: sister/Aunt Liz and brother in law/Uncle Jamie, nieces/cousins Meghan, Erin, and Laura, brother/Uncle Mike, Mom/Grandma Marcia and Dad/Grandpa Terry. Soon after arrival, the girls gave birthday presents to Casey, Gavin, and Liam. Here, everyone is eager to explore the goods.
