Photo Oops

Try to get three one year olds to look at the camera at the same time is Mission Impossible. Despite our best efforts, we managed a family portrait with Casey, Gavin, and Liam's grandparents.

Back for more fun

On a second visit to the special park, the previous night's rain left most of the playground equipment wet. Casey, Gavin, and Liam didn't seem to mind it, though. Casey found the puddles to be especially intriguing, while Liam found the slide to be a little slower than normal. Gavin was too busy swinging of seesaws to notice. And when Mama brought out the peaches, everyone grabbed one and played on.

A new playground

On our family vacation, our first stop is at the boys' grandparents home. Nearby is a recently built park that is absolutely amazing! Casey, Gavin, and Liam definitely look forward to their next visit.
Here they are playing in the sand.

Fifteen Seconds of Frame

One of my favorite times of day with my sons is actually at night, right before Paco and I go to bed. We walk into their bedroom to tuck them in for the night. I took these pictures with a tripod we bought for an upcoming family trip. After much playful experimentation, I caught a couple of shots with a fifteen second exposure and the glow of the hall light.

Peaches in the Park

Here we are, trying out the tripod again so we can take a family portrait. Even Belly posed a little. Later the boys had enough of the shirts, well, more like Paco and I didn't want them getting all dirty, so off they came. Here they are showing off their impressive peach eating skills.

Train Gang

Families with triplets can often be recognized by the infamous Choo Choo Wagon. Big and brightly colored, this stylish nonstroller lets each member of the trio get his own cab complete with cup holder and seatbelt. In this video, Gavin, Liam, Casey take each other on a ride.

Casey's Cool Hair

Casey loves a short, spiky haircut. Not the actual haircut, but just the short hair. Here is smiling and waving his favorite word, hi.

First time for first cousins

We enjoyed having Brian's brother Keith and his family visit this weekend. Casey, Gavin, and Liam got to meet some of their cousins for the first time! Here are some highlights from the visit.

Go fish! Clockwise, from top: Aunt Stephanie, Gavin, Cousin Sophie, Casey, and Liam

Vroom, vroom! Little Sophie rides the motorcycle.

Wow! So many happy brunettes. From left to right: Cousins Alahna and Sophie, Brian, and Casey

Cousin Alahna strikes a cute pose.

Cousin Alahna shows off the pretty feather she found while she and Aunt Stephanie took a walk around the pond.

Brian provides a very comfortable makeshift crib for sleepy Casey.

Well, at least the adults are looking!

First Trip to the ER

Everyone has been warning us that we'd be taking our sons to the ER. "Three boys?! Be prepared for trips to the ER!" Ha, ha. There is a touch of truth to what they say. Little boys tend to play a little rougher than little girls, so you'd figure they'd be more likely to land themselves in the ER for an injury of this or that.
Today we (Casey, Gavin, Liam, and me~Mama) were headed out to the park for a picnic breakfast but fate had other plans. Liam ran inside our dining room, slipped and fell forward into the door frame. Screams and a scary bloody face headed my way as I picked him up and rushed him to the kitchen to wash him off. He had a huge half inch long gash that wouldn't stop bleeding. One look at it and I knew he needed stiches.
With the help of a friendly neighbor, I found my way to the children's hospital across town. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait too long, and by the time Liam was ready to be stitched up Paco was there to help out.
A few hours later, all bandaged up, Liam happily went down for a nap, like the morning's adventures never happened.
