Chrissy and the boys

After today's fun activities, the boys relied on their standard play activity of jumping on Chrissy!

Liam shows us one of the construction characters from Bob the Builder. (Does anyone really know their names?)

Meanwhile, Gavin channels his inner yogi and the flash is too bright for Casey.

Gavin quickly noticed how excited Liam became when he took pictures. He wanted to experience the fun and was eager for his turn. I offered Casey a turn but Casey preferred to be in front of the camera instead of behind it. (So did Gavin in some of his own shots!)

After we got home from the Pigeon Party, the boys were a bit restless. When Liam kept grabbing the camera, I finally relented and showed him the shutter button. Soon he was snapping shots left and right.

Pigeon Party

Grandma Fran gave the boys special pajamas with a book as a present last year. Casey's book and pajama set happened to be Mo Willem's Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus. Over time, all three boys grew to love to the story with this absurd pigeon who would dare ask to drive a bus. When we found out their was a play version featuring the Pigeon, we went to the show as a family.

Winter Festival

Today we lucked out with a break in the cold weather. Don't get me wrong; we love winter with the slanted light and magical snow. Yet a mild day like today gives us the opportunity to play at the park, ride the slides up and down, and enjoy ourselves.

Sesame Street Live

When Elmo came to town with his green thumb, we couldn't resist taking Casey, Gavin, and Liam to the show.

Our first snow angels

This weekend we received a couple inches of snow. To the boys' delight, we ventured outside to build a snowman. I tried to get them started by building a big mound of snow, explaining that this was the base layer. To my dismay, Casey, Gavin, and Liam each kicked the mound I created, just like how they kicked down the sand castles that I tried to help them build at the beach this summer. Oh well. However, snow angels were a different story. After I demonstrated the way to make a snow angels, the boys promptly got to work with their attempts at heavenly snow creatures.
