First time for first cousins

We enjoyed having Brian's brother Keith and his family visit this weekend. Casey, Gavin, and Liam got to meet some of their cousins for the first time! Here are some highlights from the visit.

First Trip to the ER

Everyone has been warning us that we'd be taking our sons to the ER. "Three boys?! Be prepared for trips to the ER!" Ha, ha. There is a touch of truth to what they say. Little boys tend to play a little rougher than little girls, so you'd figure they'd be more likely to land themselves in the ER for an injury of this or that.
Today we (Casey, Gavin, Liam, and me~Mama) were headed out to the park for a picnic breakfast but fate had other plans. Liam ran inside our dining room, slipped and fell forward into the door frame. Screams and a scary bloody face headed my way as I picked him up and rushed him to the kitchen to wash him off. He had a huge half inch long gash that wouldn't stop bleeding. One look at it and I knew he needed stiches.
With the help of a friendly neighbor, I found my way to the children's hospital across town. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait too long, and by the time Liam was ready to be stitched up Paco was there to help out.
A few hours later, all bandaged up, Liam happily went down for a nap, like the morning's adventures never happened.

The Corny Toads

Ah, summer. Warm breezes, long sunny days, and lots of fresh harvested fruit and vegetables. This morning we walked to the farmers' market and got fresh corn. Gavin and Liam loved holding the cob in their hands and chewing off the kernels. Ironically, Casey who loves to hold things in his hands for a half hour at a stretch, refused to touch his corn cob. So here is Paco holding it for him.

Tre Sox in the Park

Today we had a picnic in the park. Casey, Gavin, and Liam sported their Red Sox duds.

Post Holiday Reds

With the festivities of the fourth of July finished, the boys spent their Saturday morning chilling together with Paco, Chrissy, and Belly. Their favorite activity? Tackling Dad!

Beginner's Ultimate

Paco and Chrissy returned to play one of their favorite sports, Ultimate Frisbee. Casey, Gavin, and Liam watched Mama and Dad run, catch, and throw, and decided to try it themselves.
